On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the Billy Davis Foundation partners with Angel of Harlem to serve up hope, healing and cheeseburgers! Now in its 10th year, Cheeseburger Day honors the resilience of the human spirit while raising funds for amputees in need of
specialized support.
Founded by Billy Davis, Compass Real Estate Agent, Para-Triathlete, and Unstoppable Force! Cheeseburger Day commemorates the moment Billy awoke from a coma after a life-threatening motorcycle accident in 2012 and asked for one thing: “a cheeseburger and a Coke.” That moment became a movement.
“Every year since, I’ve celebrated my ‘Alive Day’ with a cheeseburger to honor survivors of limb loss,” says Billy. “It’s about turning trauma into triumph and inspiring others into action.”
This year, Angel of Harlem will donate a portion of proceeds from every Billy Davis Burger sold on May 22nd to support the Foundation’s mission. Proceeds will benefit Achilles International – NYC, which empowers people with disabilities through athletics
and connection.
To date, Cheeseburger Day has raised over $20,000 for organizations like Wiggle Your Toes, ASPIRE, and more. Join the movement. Eat a burger. Help change a life!
